- Go to Apply for an Electrical Scooter Driving Permit page.
- Follow the instructions and fill in your information correctly. If you don't have an RTA account or a Traffic File, you must create one before applying for the service.
- The system verifies your identity by sending an OTP to your registered phone number after you enter your Emirates ID or passport details.
- Complete the online theory lectures and pass the test.
- If passed, receive the electronic permit through the website and by SMS.
- Find the permit in My Docs in RTA Smart App.

- In case you don't have a Driving Licence, you can check the lectures and take a 30-minute test.
- If you fail, you can retake the test.
- If you pass, you'll receive the permit, which you can download.

Steps
- Log in using your UAE Pass.
- Go to Services and select Transport .
- Click Electrical Scooter Permit.
- Click Start to proceed to the theoretical lectures.
- Complete the lectures then the 20-question theoretical test within 30 minutes.
- If you pass, select the permit delivery method and click Continue .
- Pay the fees through DubaiPay and click Get Permit.
- Receive the permit which you can download.

- If you have a Driving Licence, you aren't required to apply for an e-Scooter Driving Permit, regardless of the licensing authority that issued your licence.
- You must present your Driving Licence or e-Scooter Driving Permit to the rental company to allow you to rent and drive the scooter.

- Meet the requirements of the awareness training course provided through the RTA website or smart app.
- Pass the theoretical test after completing the training course.
- Carry your Driving Licence while using the scooter and present it to the authorised judicial officers upon request.
