If you have an RTA account
- Log in using UAE Pass, Emirates ID number, or Passport.
- Select Licensing Services then Driving Licence.
- Select Apply for Renewing a Learning Permit service from Drivers Services list.
- Pay the fees.
- Download the permit and receipt from the website and receive a link to download an electronic copy of them through email and SMS.
If you don’t have an RTA account
- Go to Apply for Renewing a Learning Permit page on the website.
- Log in using your Emirates ID number or Passport.
- Pay the fees.
- Download the permit and receipt from the website and receive a link to download an electronic copy of them through email and SMS.

- Log in using your username and password or UAE Pass, or continue as a guest using your Emirates ID number or Traffic File number.
- Select Renew a Learning Permit service.
- Link your account to the Traffic File number if it's not already linked.
- Review the permit details and agree to the terms and conditions.
- Pay the fees.
- Download the permit and receipt and access them at any time from My Docs (if you're logged in).

You Should Know
- If you don't take your Road Test within 6 months from your last appointment, your file is cancelled and you must apply again for a Learning Permit.
- You'll receive a notification by SMS and email 15 days before the expiry of the permit, with a link to renew the permit through RTA website.
