The Opening of New Bridges on Al Asayel Street
The newly opened bridges on Al Asayel Street are part of the Oud Maitha Road and Al Asayel Street Development Project, within the Sheikh Rashid Corridor Development Project. The two bridges accommodate approximately 2,400 and 3,000 vehicles per hour, improving access towards Al Wasl Club Street, Al Khail Road and Business Bay Crossing. The wider project includes 4.3 km of bridges and 14 km of roads, increasing Oud Maitha Road’s capacity by 50% and reducing average journey times from 20 minutes to just 5.
