Installation of External Parking Shades

Type of Parking Shade Permitted
The shade structure has a fixed standard to maintain the safety and visual order of the city of Dubai. The parking shade you plan to install must be that model to be cleared for NOC.

Additional Technical Requirements for NOC Clearance
- The parking shade must be over a reserved parking slot while maintaining sufficient clear space to ensure a safe and smooth pedestrian movement
- The parking shade must be set back a minimum of 0.6 metres from the edge of the road.
- The height of the parking shade must not be less than 2.5
- The parking shade must not obstruct any traffic signs or parking signs.
- The shape and colour of the parking shade must conform to the typologies approved by RTA.
- The parking shade’s foundation depth must not exceed 0.7 metres, and its design must be structurally engineered to ensure stability and withstand weather fluctuations.
- Installation of the parking shade is temporary, and you are responsible for its removal and all associated costs if requested by any service entity - such as Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), Dubai Municipality, e&, or Du Telecom.
