The sessions of entitled: Future Trends in Project Management where the Novar Rammol, TV Anchor, Dubai Media Incorporated interviewed Joseph Cahill, PMI Chief Customer Officer featured a lively, rich and interactive discussion about the future trends of project management.

Joseph Cahill started his statement with the changes in project management over the next 10 years (up to 2031), taking into consideration the effects of the Covid-19 that made the world suffer for two consecutive years, as well as the new trends in project management.

“This topic leads me to think about the future of our children and your children, especially the younger generations now, and what they can do in project management during the next decade, i.e. up to 2031, especially as they can leverage the new technologies to their advantage. There will come a day where they will take out of their pockets a device such as smartphones, that will enable them immediately to tackle an issue related to project management. Yes, I see things from this perspective as these young generations will likely get the required tools readily customised thanks to the evolving modern technologies. These generations will not have time to distinguish between hybrid and predictive things, corporate agility, what is next and the criteria for making decisions regarding the method of work. This matter is extremely important for future trends in project management. These developments are taking place at a very rapid pace these days. We, in project management our efforts are oriented to effective participation in this dramatic transformation for the benefit of future generations. I’m personally involved in these directions addressed in this session,” said Cahill.

“The major part of the transformation led by the Project Management Institute puts us at the heart of our growth strategy. We are working on developing and polishing the skills of PMI members whose number exceeds 300 chapters around the world to reskill and upskill them. The project management skills should go beyond the limits as they are specific job skills such that the owners of these skills can beyond their roles as project managers given the changes and fast modernisation across the world. Thus, project managers must play the role of change-makers in project management in the future.
