Hosting Dialogue with Nad Al Sheba Residents on Road and Transport Enhancements

The Customers Council of Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) held a dialogue session with residents and visitors of Nad Al Sheba to discuss ongoing projects aimed at enhancing the area's road and public transport network. The session also provided a platform to gather feedback on RTA services and explore opportunities for improvement. RTA reaffirmed its commitment to customer satisfaction by actively engaging with the community, listening to their insights, and continuously enhancing services to align with public expectations and elevate Dubai’s standing.
Ahmed Mahboob, CEO of the Licensing Agency and Chairman of the Customers Council chaired the session at Nad Al Sheba 1 Park. Also in attendance were Ahmed Bahrozyan CEO of the Public Transport Agency, Hussain Al Banna, CEO of the Traffic and Roads Agency, along with several directors and officials from various RTA sectors and agencies.
At the outset, Ahmed Al khzaimy, Director of Traffic at the Traffic and Roads Agency, reviewed RTA’s completed projects, including improvements to Dubai-Al Ain Road, expansion of parking capacity at Repton School, and the addition of a pedestrian crossing around the school. He also outlined ongoing projects, notably the construction of additional entry and exit points for Nad Al Sheba 1, road paving plans around the school, and dedicated cycling tracks, and upcoming project in Nad Al Sheba 3 and Nad Al Sheba 4. These initiatives aim to enhance traffic flow, reduce travel time for motorists, and improve the overall quality of life for Nad Al Sheba residents and visitors.
Adel Shakri, Director of Business Planning and Development at the Public Transport Agency, outlined public transport services in Nad Al Sheba, including school transport, limousine services, hourly vehicle rentals, and taxi booking options available through various smart platforms and applications.
During the session, Nad Al Sheba residents discussed improvement plans in the school zone, focusing on enhancing vehicle access to Nad Al Sheba 2 and 4. Several attendees requested additional directional signage, road paving in Nad Al Sheba 4, and the creation of pedestrian pathways in Nad Al Sheba 3 and 4.
RTA reaffirmed its commitment to incorporating public feedback, highlighting ongoing enhancements aimed at improving road network efficiency and strengthening traffic safety standards.
Residents of Nad Al Sheba expressed their appreciation for RTA’s direct engagement with the community, praising its transparent communication and responsiveness to their suggestions for optimising traffic flow, upgrading local roads, and expanding pedestrian pathways.
They emphasised that such direct engagement with RTA officials reflects its commitment to customer satisfaction, active listening, and the swift resolution of concerns.
