RTA’s Dubai Taxi Corporation (DTC) has recently organised a Government Innovation Lab 2020 via remote communication technology in compliance with the preventive health measures in place. The step is part of DTC’s ongoing efforts to develop creative ideas and suggestions to improve on the current and future services of Dubai Taxi. The move is in line with the call of the UAE leaders to prepare for the next 50 years.

“This lab was held in response to the directives of our leaders to continue business albeit the prevailing global and local health challenges associated with the outbreak of the Coronavirus,” said Dr Yousef Al Ali, CEO of Dubai Taxi Corporation, RTA.

The lab addressed several topics related to the improvement of our current services, using artificial intelligence, creating unprecedented quality services, and enhancing customer’s centricity concept.

“The lab generated 188 diverse, excellent, creative and broad-based ideas. Contributors included leaders and employees of the DTC, representatives of external companies including Dell Technologies, specialists as well as students from the University of Sharjah, and the Dubai Modern Education School,” added Al Ali.

“Holding this lab is under the theme: (Towards the Next 50 Years). Ideas put forward will be examined, and viable ones will be implemented to improve the business process and enrich services provided to the public and taxi riders. We were thrilled by the wide participation, which enriched the lab with so many ideas and proposals,” added Al Ali.
