Careers UAE 2021 aims to attract talents and offer placements

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is taking part in the 20th Careers UAE (15-17 Nov 2021) at the Dubai World Trade Centre. On the opening day of the event, fresh graduates flocked to RTA’s stand to review the training programmes on offer, which proved remarkably attractive. They were also familiarised with the diverse cast of vacant jobs and fields which offer youth a superb opportunity to prove their merits and pursue their career ambitions.
“Careers UAE is a great platform for communicating with job seekers and attracting local talents with the aim of grooming young Emiratis to build successful careers,” said Sultan Al Akraf, Director of Human Resources and Development, Corporate Administrative Support Services Sector, RTA.
“As we are keen to support the nationalisation strategy and attract talented Emiratis seeking to chart out successful career paths, we enabled visitors of RTA’s stand at Careers UAE 2021 to apply for jobs on offer through the Talent Pool.
“During the event, we will coordinate to carry out interviews with candidates at our stand. Workshops will be held to explain to applicants how to apply for approved jobs at the stand, and how to access the Dubai Careers Platform directly through a QR Code.
“A variety of training and vocational programmes have been designed for RTA’s training centre to support the Emiratisation drive. They include Edaad) programme, which qualifies and trains several Emirati graduates and offers them placements in the RTA. This two-year program ensures the deployment of well-trained Emiratis capable of contributing to sustainable development. The programme has extra features such as specialist practical training, provided the students achieve distinction. We also have the Tamkeen programme designed to deliver a 6-month training to graduate Emiratis who spent a year without joining a job since graduation. It aims to prepare them for the job market in various fields,” added Al Akraf.
RTA is keen to participate in career fairs to attract young Emirati talents graduating from universities and colleges in various disciplines as well as experienced and highly qualified personnel. It also focuses on providing a positive and attractive environment for Emiratis to take up positions in administrative, supervisory, and operational fields.
