RTA marks May 23rd 2015 for its 87th Public Distinctive Plates Auction
About 100 vehicle plates will be on offer comprising 3, 4 and 5-digit plates. Registration for the auction will open on Sunday, May 17th.
“The RTA is keen on staging open auctions as they are widely popular among customers spanning various spectrums of the community who keep attending these auctions for several years as they find them a perfect platform for obtaining their fancied distinguished vehicle plates,” said Mohammed Abdul Kareem Nimaat, Director of Vehicles Licensing at RTA Licensing Agency.
“The forthcoming open auction comprises an array of select numbers which are much sought-after by the public as they include three, four and five-digit plates coded H, I, J, K, L, M, N, O and P; rising up to the needs of many number plates enthusiasts.
“The auction is a great opportunity for the public to interact and fulfil their desire of obtaining distinguished licensing plates. Open auctions are hugely competitive and witness heated bidding for obtaining certain plates.” explained Nimaat.
Highlighting the participation procedures, Nimaat said: “Registration for the auction will open on Sunday, May 17th and continues up to the day of the auction (from 2 pm to 4 pm). Bidding will start at 04:30 pm. Registration can also be made through RTA’s customer service centers in Dubai such as the Customer Service Centers at Umm Al Romool, Deira, Al Barsha or through RTA’s portal. Registration for the auction requires depositing a retrievable security cheque amounting to AED 25,000.”
