Development of Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Corridor
Project Description
- Widening of Ras Al Khor Road from three to four lanes
- Construction of a two-laned service road from the intersection of Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road to the intersection with Nadd Al Hamar Road
- Construction of a 988m-long and 14.6m-wide two-laned upper bridge
- Construction of a 114m-long and 12.25m-wide two-laned upper bridge to ease the flow of traffic from Nadd Al Hamar North to Ras Al Khor West
- Construction of a 398m-long and 10.6m-wide single-lane underpass to allow free movement of traffic from Ras Al Khor West towards Nadd Al Hamar North
Project Benefits
- Serves 650,000 residents living in The Lagoons, Dubai Creek Harbour, Meydan Horizons, Ras Al Khor - Al Wasl and Nadd Al Hamar Complex
- Construction of bridges with a total length of 2km
- Increases the capacity on Ras Al Khor Road to 10,000 vehicles per hour
- Reduces travel time from 20 minutes to 7 minutes
