Bridges leading to Dubai Hills Mall

Project Description

• Thirteen bridges with a total length of 3,700 metres and a width of between 11 and 12 metres.
• The capacity of the new bridges is 23,500 vehicles per hour.
• The construction of bridge slopes amounting to about 2,500 metres.
• The Umm Suqeim Street Bridge is 500 metres long and has a capacity of four lanes in each direction. Its carrying capacity is estimated at 8,000 vehicles per hour in each direction.
• The project serves more than 115,000 residents living in nearby areas.
• The Dubai Hills Mall, which is spread over an area of two million square feet, is home to 650 shops and restaurants.

Project Benefits

• Provides direct entrances and exits from Al Khail and Umm Suqeim streets, ensuring the flow of traffic to and from the mall from all directions.
• Increases the efficiency of Umm Suqeim Street and the intersections throughout the project, ensuring the smooth flow of traffic in both directions.
• Provides three entrances for those coming from Deira, Umm Suqeim and Jebel Ali, as well as direct exits on Al Khail and Umm Suqeim streets.
• Strengthens the link between Sheikh Zayed Road, Al Khail Street, Mohammed Bin Zayed Street and Emirates Road.
• A reduction in the journey time from 18 minutes to seven minutes on the section of Umm Suqeim Street that extends from Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road to Al Khail Road.
