Project Description

• Expanding Al Yalayis Street from three to five lanes in each direction over a 6km stretch
• Constructing two elevated signalised junctions on First Al Khail and Al Asayel Streets, with seven lanes in each direction
• Upgrading a 5km section of Al Asayel Street to connect Jabal Ali Industrial Area with Jumeirah Islands and Emirates Hills, with three lanes in each direction
• Building a two-lane bridge along Al Asayel Street spanning 2km

Project Benefits

• Increasing the capacity of Al Yalayis Street to 20,000 vehicles per hour in both directions
• Reducing travel time between the 7th Interchange on Sheikh Zayed Road and Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road to four minutes
• Supporting the roads running parallel to Sheikh Zayed Road
• Strengthening Sheikh Zayed Road's links to Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road and Emirates Road
• Diverting a portion of traffic from Sheikh Zayed Road to parallel roads
• Providing additional entry and exit points for development projects
