Apply for a Dewatering Lines Protection Permit

This service enables you to obtain permit for utility lines protection which are required to be laid on the right of way (footpath, parking, sikka or hard shoulder) during construction works. These utility lines can be laid in certain limitations as permitted.

Contractors are eligible to apply for this service.
Required documents
  1. Covering letter describing the details and duration of the required works addressed to the Manager of RTA Right Of Way Services section
  2. Proper Layout on a suitable scale showing as existing conditions with the proposed route of the dewatering line considering all safety measures
  3. Copy of company’s Trade License (Dubai only)
  4. Copy of DM Affection Plan and/or coordinates of the dewatering lines
  5. Copy of DM Building permit for construction sites applications
  6. Pictures of the work zone (with the date)
  7. Construction E-NOC
  8. NOC from DM and Landlords if their lands are utilized
  9. Copy of RTA approved dewatering contractor certificate
  10. DM Drainage NOC (In case of discharging to manhole)
  11. DM coastal NOC (In case of discharging to sea)
  12. Copy of old permits and drawings (in case of renewal)
Service fees
  • 75 AED permit fees.
Average processing time
  • Service Centre: 10 minutes.

Through service centre:

  • The customer submits the required documents
  • The customer is required to settle the fees
  • The customer receives the permit.

The validity varies according to the condition and the type of the request.
