(Al Tayer: Emirati women are Arab and global role model in competence and Devotion to the Nation)

His Excellency Mattar Al Tayer, Director General, Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), stated: “Since the establishment of the Union by the late Founding Father Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the United Arab Emirates has devoted great attention to women, mobilising every resource and providing an enabling environment that allows them to fulfil their responsibilities and contribute to the nation-building journey.”
He added: “This approach has continued under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and their Highnesses, Members of the Supreme Council and Rulers of the Emirates. This commitment has been embodied in supportive policies and legislation that have made women’s empowerment a deeply rooted national principle across all state entities.”
His Excellency also extended his warmest congratulations to Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation (Mother of the Nation), on the Emirati Women’s Day.
“This day has become a national occasion on which the UAE proudly recalls the pioneering role of women in building and elevating the standing of the nation. It is also a day to celebrate their exceptional achievements, made possible through the visionary guidance and unwavering support of the wise leadership, which has always believed that women are an indispensable partner in development,” commented Al Tayer.
He continued: “Emirati women are Arab and global role model in competence, ambition, and devotion to the nation. They hold leadership positions across diverse state institutions, serving as ministers, ambassadors, parliamentarians, judges, officers in the armed forces, and as experts in energy, space, technology, and other prominent scientific and specialised fields. They play an active role in the nation’s journey of building, development, and progress, as well as in shaping national policies and decision-making.
“At Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority, we take immense pride in our Emirati female professionals, who have consistently demonstrated outstanding competence across a wide spectrum of fields. They play an instrumental role in senior management, engineering, strategic planning, and leading major projects, including transport infrastructure, artificial intelligence, and sustainable mobility. We remain committed to fostering an enabling and supportive work environment that provides women with opportunities for professional growth and advancement, empowering them to assume leadership and specialised roles across the Authority’s various sectors.”
