Hamdan bin Mohammed Approves Architectural Identity for Dubai’s Road Projects
His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, has approved the Architectural Identity for Dubai’s road projects, developed to enrich the architectural character of urban elements across the emirate’s integrated network of roads, corridors, and streets. The initiative aligns with Dubai’s vision to build an integrated and sustainable city that enhances the experience of both residents and visitors.

Completion of a Host of Projects Within Hatta Area
The Supreme Committee for Development of Hatta, chaired by Mattar Al Tayer, Director General, Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of the Roads and Transport Authority "RTA" in Dubai, has completed a suite of development projects in the area. The works include the construction of Hatta Dam Amphitheatre, extending 610 metres, a fully serviced school, and the prototype housing unit in Makan; in addition to a new 15-kilometre mountain biking trail, a new 10-kilometre hiking trail, and the development of three farms: the Strawberry Farm, Hatta Farm and the Leafy Greens Farm.

Updating the Categories of Dubai Award for Sustainable Transport
Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced an expanded 14th edition of the Dubai Award for Sustainable Transport (DAST) 2026, featuring a redesigned structure of award categories. The updates include four new categories: Elite, Sustainability, Innovation and Integration, as well as an increase in the total number of awards to 12.
The 14th cycle will open for submissions in January 2026, with the awards ceremony scheduled for October 2026.
