Apply for Building Construction or Demolition Permit

Obtain an RTA permit to demolish or construct a building to ensure that the project doesn't affect the Right-of-Way or the traffic.

Output

Building Construction Permit (renewable and valid for 3 months) or Demolition Permit (renewable and valid for 1 month)

Channels

Steps

  1. Log in using your username and password.
  2. Select New Permits from the left-side menu.
  3. Click Permit Type .
  4. Select the application type as per the required permit and scope of work.
  5. Select the sub-type of the application.
  6. Enter the duration and a clear description of the work as per the scope of work.
  7. Fill in your information.
  8. Mark the proposed work location on the map.
  9. Enter the contractor's contact information for technical discussion, if required.
  10. Enter the project information.
  11. Upload the documents.
  12. Click Submit to generate the application number.
  13. Receive the approval on the application after its successful review by RTA Engineer in coordination with the relevant internal departments.
  14. Pay the fees.
  15. Download the permit from the application page.
  16. If you want to renew the permit, click Renew in the dashboard then enter the duration and the description of the work and pay the new permit issuance fee.
  17. In case of rejection, receive a notification by SMS, and the rejection letter and the reasons by email.

  1. The application will be automatically cancelled if you don't respond to the discussion initiated by the processor or if you don't pay all required fees before the permit expiry date specified in the application details page, or within 15 days, whichever comes first

  1. Copy of the Affection Plan issued by the Building and Land Licensing Authority in the area (for projects in areas not regulated by Dubai Municipality)
  2. Copy of the Building Permit issued by the Building Permits Authority (for projects in areas not regulated by Dubai Municipality)
  3. Building or Demolition Permit from the Building Permits authorities (Dubai Municipality, Dubai Development Authority, Trakhees, etc.)
