RTA operational timings & Services updates

In line with the resolution of the Supreme Committee of Crises and Disaster Management; we have updated the working hours of public transport (metro, tram, buses, marine) and customer happiness centers. In addition to that, we have also updated the timings of some of the vehicle registration and licensing services. Stay safe!

Metro

If you're planning to go out, head to the station 30 minutes before the trip, and don't forget that wearing a face mask is mandatory and adhere to safety precautions and physical distancing while commuting.

  • Saturday to Thursday from 7 AM to 12 AM (midnight).
  • Friday from 10 AM to 12 AM (midnight).

Taxi

Taxi service users are obligated to wear masks and sit in the back seat.

Dubai marine services resume their daily operations through Dubai abra in four stations only (Aljaddad, Dubai festival city, Creek and Marina) whereas other Marine transport services (Dubai ferry, Dubai water taxi , Dubai water bus) are suspended, until further notice.

Dubai Bus is fully operational from 6 AM until 11 PM.

Customer Happiness Centres

Three customer happiness centres in Umm Al Ramoul, Deira and Al Barsha, as well as 21 service provider centres are open, from 08:00 am to 04:00 pm.

Visitors of customer happiness centres and service providers are kindly requested to cooperate with staff and comply with the health procedures in place.

Al Shirawi, Cars Deira, SpeedFit, and Tasjeel (Discovery Gardens, International City and Al Tawar) Centres, as well as AutoPro (Mankhool) Centre will remain closed until further notice.

Our vehicle and driver's license renewal services are now completely online, from end to end.

Vehicle Licensing Services

Our vehicle and driver's license renewal service processes have been updated.


For a seamless and swift user experience, RTA vehicle registration renewal service is now updated. 

You need to pay your fines to complete the renewal process. Once you complete the transaction, your E-Vehicle Registration Card and a digital copy of the actual Mulika will be sent to you via SMS and will be valid for one year from the vehicle license expiration date. You can view and print both these documents from your RTA account as well as RTA apps accounts.

Driver Licensing Services

The renewal of driving license will be temporarily unavailable through Customer Happiness Centers. Starting Sunday, 29th March,2020 until three months.

You can renew your driving license without having to do the eye test or fine payment until 30th of June 2020. An e-permit will be issues to replace the physical one and it will be valid for one year.

Don't leave your house unless necessary

Unified signage on safe practices and etiquette to combat COVID-19

Dubai Government has announced a unified directory of safety and etiquette signage in public transport and other public spaces aimed at raising awareness about essential health and safety procedures to combat the outbreak of COVID-19.

The below signage directory is aligned with the highest global practices in indicative icons. 

Red indicates mandatory compliance to avoid violations and penalties

  • Keep Safe Distance: Keep a safe distance of 1 meter in public transport
  • No Sitting: Sit in the designated seats
  • Wear Mask: Wearing a face mask is mandatory
  • Two Riders Only: Only 2 passengers per taxi (in the rear seat)

 Yellow cautions against certain conducts and practices

  • Use Sanitizer: Use of hand sanitizer is advised
  • Use Gloves: Wearing gloves is advised at all times
  • Wash Your Hands: Wash your hands often with soap and water for a minimum of 20 seconds
