Service timing during holiday of New Hijri Year 1443


(The civic body stresses the importance of complying with the health precautionary measures)

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) announced the timings of its services during the holiday of the New Hijri Year 1443. The revised service timing applies to customer happiness centres, paid parking zones, public buses, metro, tram, marine transport, and service provider centres (technical testing of vehicles). At the same time, RTA called on community members to comply with the health precautionary measures. 


Service provider centres (Vehicle Technical Testing) and customer happiness centres will be closed from Thursday 12 August and resume duty on Saturday 14 August 2021 (at service provider centres) and on Sunday 15 August 2021 (at customer happiness centres). Smart customer happiness centres at Umm Ramool, Deira, Al Barsha, Al Manara, Al Kafaf, Al Tawar, and RTA Head Office will continue service 24/7 as usual. 


On Thursday 12 August, Dubai Metro service will be running on both the Red and Green Lines from 05:00 am to 01:00 am (of the following day), and the Dubai Tram will be in service on the same day from 06:00 am to 01:00 am (of the following day). 


During the holiday, Public Buses (Dubai Bus) will operate as follows: At Main Stations, including Gold Souq Station, from 04:50 am to 12:30 am (past midnight), and Al-Ghubaiba Station from 04:15 am to 01:00 am (of the following day). At Sub-stations, including Satwa Station, will the service will run from 04:30 am to 11:00 pm except for Route C01 which will be operating around-the-clock. Al-Qusais Bus Station will be in service from 04:50 am to 12:04 am (past midnight), Al Quoz Industrial Station from 05:05 am to 11:30 pm, and Jebel Ali Station from 04:58 am to 12:15 (past midnight).


The Metro Link Bus Service at Centrepoint, Mall of the Emirates, Ibn Battuta, Dubai Mall/Burj Khalifa, Abu Hail, and Etisalat will be running during the holiday from 05:00 am to 01:10 am (of the following day). (Note: The timing of all Metro Link services is synchronised with the metro timetables.) 


The Inter-city Bus and Commercial Coaches will be operating during the holiday as follows: Sub Stations, such as Al Ghubaiba, from 06:40 am to 10:20 pm, Union Square from 04:25 am to 12:15 (past midnight), Etisalat Metro Station from 06:00 am to 09:00 pm, Abu Hail Metro Station from 06:20 am to 10:40 pm, and Hatta Station from 05:30 am to 09:30 pm. The timing of External Stations will be during the holiday as follows: Al Jubail Station at Sharjah from 05:30 am to 11:15 pm, and Ajman Station from 04:30 am to 11:00 pm.


The Marine Transport means will operate on Thursday 12 August as follows: The Water Bus will operate at Dubai Marina Stations (BM1) (Marina Mall, Marina Walk) from 12:00 (noon) up to 12:00 (midnight), and (Marina Promenade, Marina Mall), (Marina Terrace, Marina Walk) from 02:00 pm to 10:50 pm. Roundtrips in Creek (Al Seef and Baniyas Marine Stations) from 4:00 pm to 11:00 pm.


Traditional Abra will be operating during the holiday at Dubai Creek Stations as follows: Dubai Old Souq – Baniyas from 10:00 am to 01:00 am (of the following day), Al Fahidi – Al Sabkha and Al Fahidi- Old Deira Souq from 10:00 am to 12:30 am (past midnight), Baniyas – Al Seef from 10:00 am to 01:00 am (of the following day), Dubai Old Souq – Al Fahidi – Al Seef from 04:00 pm to 11:00 pm, and Al Jaddaf – Dubai Festival City from 08:00 am to 12:00 (midnight). The tourist services from the Sheikh Zayed Road Station, and Dubai Creek Stations (Al Seef, Al Fahidi, Al Ghubaiba and Al Sabkha Stations), and from Al Jaddaf to Dubai Festival City, will be from 04:00 pm to 11:00 pm. 


The Ferry will run service during the holiday on the line Al Ghubaiba- Dubai Water Canal- Marina Mall at 05:15 pm. The Ferry tourist service will run from Al Ghubaiba at 04:00 pm, and the tourist service from Marina Mall Station will run at 04:00 and 07:30 pm. The Water Taxi will run (on demand) from 12:00 (noon) to 08:00 pm (clients need to make a prior booking). 


Except for the multi-level parking terminals, the public parking in Dubai will be free on Thursday 12 August, and the fee will be activated on Saturday 14 August 2021.
