Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has held a virtual workshop entitled: The Principles of Dealing with People of Determination, in coordination with the Community Development Authority (CDA). The workshop, which was attended by 150 employees of RTA, is in line with RTA’s strategic goals and objectives that focus on making pioneering efforts toward bringing happiness to people and enhancing social responsibility. The workshop aimed to acquaint employees with the rules and strategies related to the People of Determination as well as the services provided by the CDA in Dubai.

“The main objective of holding this workshop in collaboration with CDA was to promote the basic skills of dealing and communicating with the People of Determination. The workshop discussed key information about the principles of dealing and communicating with the People of Determination along with the implications of the official logos representing them,” said Sultan Al Akraf, Director of Human Resources and Development, Corporate Administrative Support Services Sector, RTA.

“RTA is always keen to educate its employees on the etiquettes of dealing with People of Determination, be it employees or customers, in the context of efforts to tailor the personal and proactive services to the needs of clients. We are also committed to making people happier and demonstrate our social responsibility towards empowering People of Determination in line with the national policy that protects their rights within an inclusive community,” he added.

“Integrating the People of Determination and enabling them smooth access to services requires building the capabilities of service providers and honing their knowledge and skills of dealing with people of determination according to their disabilities. It requires nurturing a friendly and motivating environment for them to communicate and integrate besides enabling them to obtain all their rights. The Community Development Authority is coordinating with the leading government bodies to improve the level of services provided to people of determination besides offering them additional benefits and facilities through the Sanad Card,” said Mariam Al Hammadi, Acting Director of the People of Determination Department at CDA.
