HE Mattar Al Tayer, Director-General and Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of the Roads and Transport Authority, along with several CEOs, National Service Recruits,  and RTA employees in addition to students from Al Hudaibia Primary School stood for a minute offering silent prayers for the souls of martyrs as a gesture of recognizing their sacrifices for the nation. This was then followed by hoisting of the national flag at the Head Office of the RTA. The event was held to mark the Commemoration Day, corresponding to November 30.

“Under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE President, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, the UAE is setting an example of a nation sacrificing to defend Arab soil, and repulsing aggressors pursing suspicious foreign agenda,” said Al Tayer.

“The souls of our sons, which have joined heavens, will remain a witness to the spirit of sacrifice of our armed forces. History will commemorate the wonderful memoire of our glorious martyrs, who gave us honor and dignity,” added Al Tayer.

Al Tayer also facilitated RTA’s 86 ‘National Service Recruits’, and praised their involvement in this pioneer national initiative, and setting bright example for coming generations.
