‘Learning Fair’ promotes employee knowledge & innovation culture
Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has recently held the ‘Learning Fair’ at its Head Office in Dubai. The event, which displayed numerous activities, is part of RTA’s efforts to nurture a hospitable environment that boosts employees’ knowledge and passion for learning and innovating.
HE Mattar Al Tayer, Director-General and Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of RTA toured the Fair and stressed the need to run such events as they enrich the intellectual and innovative skills of employees across RTA’s sectors and agencies.
“The Learning Fair encompasses numerous platforms such as the Smart Workshop, the Reading Majlis, Awareness Corner, and the Knowledge Café among others,” said Nasir Hamad Bu Shehab, CEO of RTA’s Strategy and Corporate Governance.
The event was marked by the launch of RTA’s Knowledge Gate, which is a digital platform that combines comprehensive knowledge base for all RTA’s encyclopedia covering various business aspects. A variety of workshops was held for employees in collaboration with key partners namely the Mohammed bin Rashid School of Government and Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation.
The Readers Majlis offered a host of initiatives relating to reading and spreading knowledge. The Knowledge Café held discussion panels and dialogue between employees on books in fields of management, knowledge, transportation and innovation as well as citations from the world’s best practices. The Awareness Platform was enriched by the MENA Center for Transport Excellence in coordination with RTA.
The event briefed employees about the importance of affiliations in gaining access to expert knowledge and experience in various lines of the industry. It also set a platform for the exchange of ideas and knowledge offering employees further exposure to new knowledge-based initiatives and updates. It also offered a variety of policies, business process along with RTA’s current and future projects.
The Fair included a corner for IQ tests and intellectual games, Build Your Knowledge corner, and a Social Wall to highlight employees’ interaction with the event.
