Receiving an International certification from Spain on drivers’ training programmes

The Public Transport Agency at Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has obtained the Phase l accomplishment certificate from the National Confederation of Driving Schools (CNAE) in Spain, which is an accreditation and endorsement for its passenger transport drivers’ training models. As such, the RTA has become the first government entity outside the European Union to obtain CNAE certification. The achievement is part of RTA’s endeavours to boost road safety and improve the public transport services in Dubai.

 
The CEO of Public Transport Agency Ahmed Hashim Bahroyzan received the Certificate of Achievement from CNAE President José Miguel. The award reflects RTA’s efforts in improving the quality of public transport services and elevating them to world-class standards. The completion of Phase I follows months of preparations., and a team of experts & auditors from CNAE visiting to Dubai to carry out a comprehensive assessment of training programmes designed for passenger transport drivers, be it bus, taxi or limo drivers. Eventually.


“We are pleased to award this certificate to RTA. Where Phase I of assessment revealed the RTA efforts in qualifying drivers. It echoes our appreciation of RTA’s efforts which is our ultimate objective as leaders of roads safety in Spain and the European Federation. This step is the cornerstone for endorsing a model system for qualifying drivers compatible with the highest international quality standards in the field of road safety,” said José Miguel.

  
The National Confederation of Driving Schools (CNAE) was established in Spain in 1961. The Foundation is linked with 90% of driving schools in Spain and represents 55 regional associations. CNAE is one of the most represented organisations in the transport sector in Spain. The Foundation chairs the Latin American Confederation of Driving Schools (CICEFOV) and is part of the European Transport Safety Council (ETSC).
