During a session titled "Addressing Challenges around Autonomous Vehicles Digital Infrastructure held on the closing day of the Dubai World Congress for Self-Driving Transport at the Dubai World Trade Center under the theme "Empowering Mobility 4.0" participants highlighted the role of a robust digital infrastructure in facilitating the optimal and smooth operation of autonomous vehicles.

During the discussion panel moderated by Dennis Hickman, Managing Director of FEV Consulting Middle East, participants underscored the importance of a robust and dependable digital ecosystem tailored to the needs of autonomous mobility technology, especially public transportation and automated road systems.

Participants called for providing the infrastructure needed for autonomous vehicles, which will have a significant impact on spreading self-driving means in future, and developing long-term plans and solutions for delivering improved services in future.

Participating in the session included Prof. Dr. Enrica Papa, from the Department of Planning and Transport, University of Westminster, Arnaud de la Fortelle, Co-Founder and CTO of Heex Technologies, and Prof. Dr. Achille Fonzone, Professor of Transport Analysis and Planning at Edinburgh Napier University.
