HE Mattar Al Tayer, Director-General and Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai, has honoured the best contractors and suppliers dealing with RTA. The step aims to recognise their contribution to support RTA’s efforts towards making several important achievements in public transport, infrastructure and other services in 2017. Attendees in the ceremony, which was held in RTA Auditorium, included a host of CEOs, Directors of RTA as well as representatives of companies providing services to RTA. 


Al Tayer honoured the best companies and establishment under five different categories, namely: Administrative Consultancies, Engineering Consultancies, MBR Establishment for SMEs, Minor Project Contractors, and Major Project Contractors. Protiviti Member Firm (Middle East) Ltd ranked first in the Best Administrative Consultancy Category, ahead of runner-up Network International LLC, and the third-place finisher Real Image TV Production LLC. 
In the Best Engineering Consultancy Category, Crown Consult was the winner, followed by Consolidated Consultant Engineering and Environment in the second place, and Idom Ingenieria Y Consultoria - Abu Dhabi, finishing third. 


In the MBR SMEs, the first position was clinched by Clean Way Building Cleaning Services LLC. Cadd Emirates Computer Trading  (L.L.C), Al Sayegh Media, Uniform Exrpess LLC, and The White Boutique were among the Top 5 companies in the SMEs category. 


In the Minor Project Contracting Category, Dubai Shipbuilding and Engineering Company was first, followed by Al Ramool Road Markings Co LLC in the second position, and Aspen Engineering Services LLC in the third position. 


In the Major Projects Contracting Category, the winner was Khalaf Sultan Traffic Signs Co. LLC, and the second was Wade Adams Contracting LLC, and the third was Waagner Biro Gulf LLC.


Saeed Al Marri, Director of Contracts & Procurement at RTA’s Corporate Administrative Support Services Sector, reiterated RTA’s commitment to boost bilateral relations and cooperation with private entities, considering them strategic partners in supporting various projects of RTA. “This felicitation was aimed to recognise the efforts of suppliers and contractors who have done a great job in 2017 that have definitely contributed to realising RTA’s ambitions. This gesture adds to the existing bilateral cooperation towards achieving furthering prosperity and cementing the standing of Dubai as a premier business hub in the region,” he noted. 


“We have considerable challenges and ambitions. What the RTA managed to achieve or is still planning for, is part of its endeavours to improve the infrastructure and boost the integration of roads network and the public transport system. RTA is keen on maintaining the transparency and fairness in dealing with various companies undertaking projects for RTA. It also seeks to facilitate their transactions and provide every possible support to enable them to avail the best contractual services,” added Al Marri.
