Female employees explore history of Hatta

The Women Committee of the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) had organised a tour for a group of employees to Hatta to know more about the history of the place and the legacy of ancestors. The overall objective of the Committee is to make Hatta an excursion for employees and their families, especially as the area is well looked after by our wise leadership.

“The Committee is seeking to organise meaningful tours to female employees to acquaint them with the heritage destinations and emerging tourist attractions. The tours have a cognitive and cultural dimension over and above fun & entertainment,” said Ms Moaza Al Marri, Director of Marketing and Corporate Communication cum Chairperson of Women Committee, RTA.

“Female employees have had enjoyable hours in the area which is privileged by huge support of our leaders. They visited several key areas such as Hatta Heritage Village, where they saw the old castle that dates back to the 16th century, and they were familiarised with the norms and tradition of inhabitants. They also visited Hatta forts, valleys, dams, and Talla Park as well as the illustrious Hatta Lake where they savoured boat rides at the backdrop of a fantastic mountainous area.

“The visit is part of the annual plan of the Committee that calls for outings that have a cultural and cognitive theme. Such trips will add to the delight of female employees, revitalise their potentials and accordingly enrich their careers; which is a key objective of the Committee,” added Moaza.
