The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has received a delegation from the General HQ of Abu Dhabi Police and briefed them on the best practices adopted in training and qualification of drivers. Visitors were also enlightened about driving institutes relations management as well as the applicable manuals, policies and indicators governing this field. The visit is part of RTA’s efforts to share expertise with various public entities in Dubai Government as well as federal entities.


“The visit of Abu Dhabi Police delegation was prompted by the fine and cumulative experiences of the RTA in training and qualification of drivers. The gathering started by a visual presentation about the organizational chart of RTA’s Licensing Agency, and Drivers Training and Qualification Department,” said Arif Al Malik, Director of Drivers Training and Qualification, Licensing Agency, RTA.


“The delegation was briefed on the evolution of drivers training process, number and geographical distribution of training institutes, and the manuals & policies governing their practices. Visitors were also introduced to the types of driving licenses and the flowchart of drivers training and testing, starting from file opening up to the issuance of the driver license. The briefing also included the roles of the Licensing Agency’s departments concerned with the supervision and licensing stipulations of driving institutes. The delegation also reviewed the key aspects of partners’ relations management,” concluded Al Malik
