Abdul Mohsen Ibrahim Younes

Abdul Mohsen Ibrahim Younes, CEO of Strategy & Corporate Governance Sector at the RTA, said: “Renewing the ISO 90011:2008 certification in QMS demonstrates RTA’s keenness on adopting top quality standards. Auditors from various organizational units have shown commitment to the principles & pillars of auditing processes, and external auditors have admired the administrative systems in place and the commitment of the concerned RTA units to the documented business processes. Moreover, the awarding firm has verified its findings by taking random samples to further examine business processes & procedures adopted across the board, over & above the financial audits and interviews carried out with several concerned bodies.

“The RTA attaches paramount importance to quality processes and systems which was culminated in scooping a host of awards & accolades in this field. It has conducted 137 internal quality audit jobs in various sectors and agencies in 2014; scoring a coverage of as much as 97%; which well exceeds the targeted rate of 90% set for the RTA. It is also committed to carrying out improvement procedures in a timely manner as it recognizes that the quality concept sets the base for successes of the corporate business, and the taking of sound decisions to realize strategies and multiple objectives of the RTA,” continued Younes.

“The RTA is committed to implementing the principles of QMS which are based on 8 core pillars namely: customer focus, leadership, involvement of employees, process approach, system approach to management, continual improvement, factual approach to decision-making, and the mutually beneficial supplier relationships. The QMS concept is linked to the identification of customer’s needs & expectations, policy & objective of quality within the entity, and processes & responsibilities necessary for realizing quality targets. It is also linked to the provision of resources necessary for achieving such targets, setting a metric system for measuring the effectiveness & efficiency of each process in the quality system, and developing techniques and methods to safeguard against, and overcome, any potential lack of compliance,” commented the CEO of Strategy & Corporate Governance at the RTA.
