RTA launches booking of vehicle testing service
Ahmed Hashem Bahrozyan, CEO of RTA’s Licensing Agency said: “Our clients, be it individual or corporate who have vehicles in their ownership, can contact the Licensing Agency through the toll-free Call Center of RTA (8009090) to book an appointment for technical testing of their vehicles, or directly contact the service centers listed in RTA’s website.”
“Following its trial launch in early June this year, the service will be up-and-running for three months. It would then be provided on permanent basis starting from mid of September this year to make room for improvements. The service is vital to vehicle owners as it enables them better plan and utilize their time in availing streamlined services in much shorter times. Saving time to vehicle owners translates into a cost-saving exercise, as it will enable them to have their vehicles tested in a specific timeline without affecting their other commitments and schedules.
“RTA is committed to adopt world-class standards in the technical testing of various vehicles, and has set these standards as prerequisites of passing the prescribed technical tests in order to ensure the highest security and safety for motorists and all road users. The booking of technical testing appointments service would also enable RTA to carry out field studies and come up with practical findings as to the improvement of the level of service provided in this field. Thus, it will further assist in keeping abreast of world’s standards of technical testing of vehicles,” concluded.
