No Parking fees on Prophet Ascension Day holiday

Ahmed Hasan Mahboub

In the meantime, the parking yard of the Fish Market as well as the multi-level parking are excluded from this exemption in order to provide parking slots for intended users.

Ahmed Hasan Mahboub, Director of Customers Service at the RTA, said: “This step is taken as part of RTA’s endeavours to offer a smooth mobility to residents and visitors of the Emirate during holidays; a practice which reflects the unremitting attention of the RTA to various community segments and the sense of responsibility towards inhabitants and visitors of the Emirate. No doubt this gesture is a practical demonstration of RTA’s vision of providing Safe & Smooth Transport for All through providing every means to ease the mobility of motorists during official holidays and religious events.”

The RTA calls upon the public, especially motorists, to ensure the optimal use of parking spaces; a facility provided in the first place for the convenience of the public spanning citizens, residents, visitors and tourists.

It also urges motorists not park their vehicles on pavements or in a way blocking the movement of other vehicles; a practice that will invoke fines legally provided for in the applicable rules.

Marking the event, the RTA offers sincere greetings & congratulations to the wise leadership of the UAE as well as Arab and Islamic nations, praying to Allah to mark this day with boon and blessings to all.
