Dubai Taxi launches service promotion campaign

Abdullah Ibrahim Al Meer

The campaign, which runs for three months (from March to June 2015), is part of DTC’s strategic objectives aimed at acquainting the public with the DTC’s services on offer, improving the operational efficiency of the fleet, and enhancing DTC’s image amongst all community members, riders and clients in realization of its vision: Pioneers in Passenger Transport Services.

“This marketing campaign includes a cocktail of promotional materials highlighting the services of the DTC comprising: Airport Taxi, VIP Taxi, Disabled Taxi, Hala Taxi, Ladies & Families Taxi, Hybrid Taxi, and In Safe Hands Taxi. The campaign aims to sensitize the public about the corporate identity of DTC’s red-top cabs in a bid to offer more convenient services, and meet customer needs by offering reliable, accurate and on-time services,” said Abdullah Ibrahim Al Meer, Director of Business Development at the DTC.

“The DTC has an extensive fleet of taxicabs consisting of 4512 vehicles; which accounts for 47.2% of taxicabs operating in Dubai. As the DTC aims to lift more than 80 million riders in 2015, it started with educating cabbies about these services by means of internal circulars and the Drivers Training & Qualification Center at the DTC. It also opted to raise the awareness of the public and customers through posts in DTC’s Instagram account (@DTC_News), RTA’s social media channels, press releases, interviews with the media, updates of the website (www.dubaitaxi.ae), and publications provided at RTA’s service outlets at metro stations, Dubai Airports, and customers service centers,” he continued.

“The DTC has teamed with Khaleej Times daily to distribute these publications in Arabic & English to its clientele through the daily issues distributed to various spectrums of the UAE community. This initiative will be on the go for a couple of months, and coordination is in hand with different government bodies and private entities to take part in a variety of external events, exhibitions, visits to schools & universities, and the promotion of different DTC’s services,” added Al Meer.

“The DTC is continuously rolling out a number of initiatives and strategic projects and seeking to undertake plans capable of leveraging the taxi sector in order to bring it to the highest international standards,” said the Director of Business Development at the DTC. He called upon taxi riders and clients of the DTC to drop down suggestions and direct their inquiries to RTA’s Call Center (8009090) where they will be dealt with seriously in an effort to gain their satisfaction.
