Project Description

• The Improvement of the street spans 4.6 km from Al Khail Road to Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road
• It includes upgrading the intersection with Al Barsha South Street near Kings School by constructing an 800-meter tunnel with four lanes in each direction on the street
• Constructing a signalized surface intersection.

Project Benefits

• Improving connectivity between Sheikh Zayed Road, Al Khail Road, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road, and Emirates Road.
• Enhancing street capacity to accommodate up to 16,000 vehicles per hour in both directions.
• Reducing travel time between Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road and Al Khail Road from 9.7 to 3.8 minutes.
• Serving residential areas such as Al Barsha South 1, 2, and 3, and Dubai Hills, benefiting an estimated population of two million people.
