Project Description

• It is a 30 km route with 14 stations
• It features key interchange points at Creek Station on the Green Line, Centrepoint Station on the Red Line, and Dubai International City Station 1, as well as an iconic station at Dubai Creek Harbour.
• It features 9 elevated stations and 5 underground stations below ground level.

Project Benefits

• It achieves connection and integration between the Red and Green lines.
• It serves 9 areas with an estimated population of over one million people.
• It will connect different areas including Al Jaddaf, Dubai Festival City, Dubai Creek Harbour, Ras Al Khor, International City, Dubai Silicon Oasis, Academic City, Mirdif, Al Warqa, and Dubai International Airport.
• It enhances one of the main pillars of the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan, the 20 Minutes City and the Dubai Social Agenda D33.
• The number of daily users is expected to be 200,000 in 2030, increasing to 320,000 in 2040.
• The line's capacity is expected to be around 56,000 passengers per hour in both directions, based on a headway time of about one and a half minutes.
