RTA commends Dubai Police for its efforts during Tram’s test, operation18/03/2015
RTA’s oozed such remarks in the context of the Dubai Tram Community Initiative jointly run by the Marketing & Corporate Communication Department and the Rail Agency at the RTA.
“The efforts of the Dubai Police personnel, who were deployed at various junctions and along the track of the Dubai Tram, were instrumental to the security of the tram movement as well as road users during the trial test, preparations for the official operation, and post the official launch of the service last November. It was such an important event attended by HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince and Chairman of the Executive Council; and HH Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Deputy Chairman of the Executive Council,” said Abdullah Yousef Al Ali, CEO of RTA Rail Agency.
“This vital contribution obliged the RTA to commend such efforts and offer due thanks for supporting the Tram project through offering prized gifts to the police personnel in a ceremony held at the premises of the Transport Security Department. The step is taken in the context of the Dubai Tram Community Initiative rolled out by the RTA to recognize the vital roles that contributed to the completion and launch of the Tram project in a perfect style,” he stated.
“The Dubai Police is a strategic partner of the RTA and the security & traffic assistance it rendered is nothing new. The General HQ of the Dubai Police has crystal clear marks on serving the entire Emirate, and boasts of a high-class competency that goes beyond the realms of domestic affairs to making regional and international impacts,” continued Al Ali.
“The Dubai Police has exerted outstanding efforts towards the success of all stages of the Dubai Tram in terms of deploying security personnel who had secured the seamless movement of the Tram. Such efforts replicate the team spirit characterizing all departments of the Dubai Government in general, and the interrelationship between the Dubai Police and the RTA in particular in support of the drive & strategy of our prudent government towards bolstering joint efforts,” added the CEO of RTA Rail Agency.
