RTA is committed to enhancing education by participating in various educational activities internally and externally, through the continuous practices in educating school and university students of the importance of using public transport, through traffic awareness activities, Read More initiative, Dubai Youth for Public Transport initiative, and other activities arranged during the year.
The "Read more" Initiative focused on the most important segments of the society , which is schoolchildren , encouraging them to read and get more books with providing some activities and programs. External Events and competitions would encourage children and students to engage in reading more than just in schools.
In 2014, RTA has launched classrooms in Rashid Centre for the people with determination, to support the requirements of people with special needs in the field of education. RTA equipped, furnished and developed a classroom, to be benefited from through out the years.
The “Salama” Magazine is a monthly magazine specializes in issues of general safety and focuses on Traffic awareness. The magazine is published by Traffic Department, Traffic and Roads Agency of RTA and is geared for children (7 – 14 years).
RTA created an audio booth that allows employees and people from all groups to volunteer by recording selected stories and books; these recordings will be collected and donated to various centers in coordination with the Emirates Association for the Blind, where audiobooks can be downloaded and listened to.
