Getting around Dubai Marina made easy

(RTA) announced that it has re-opened the left and U-turns at the intersection of Al Sayora - Al Safouh Roads, JBR; which is also used by the Dubai Tram. The announcement follows the charting of a comprehensive plan for Zero Accident in this vital area, especially after the operation of the Dubai Tram, and since the road users have been accustomed to the existence of the tram.

The left turns at Al Marsa – Al Sayora, Al Marsa – Al Sufouh, Al Marsa – Al Sharta intersections are re-opening in June 2016. Enjoy the convenience but please pay attention to tram safety too.

• Keep an eye on the tram safety signs as you approach the turn.
• Make sure the traffic light to go left is green before you turn.
• Look both ways for the tram before moving.
• Traffic light signaling system installation is done, whereby all light signals will turn red once the tram approaches the junction.
• Surveillance cameras are being installed to monitor all vehicles jumping the red signals.
• The plan will be subjected to 3 months monitoring period and additional measures will be taken accordingly
